We have some exciting news to share with our Little Tooth families!
After spending some special time at home with her growing family, Dr. Codie is officially returning to The Little Tooth on November 3!
And while she’s been busy making memories outside the office, she’s more than ready to get back to seeing all those familiar little smiles.
We caught up with Dr. Codie ahead of her return to hear what she’s been up to, what she’s looking forward to most, and why working with kids continues to hold such a special place in her heart.
A New Addition to the Family!
It’s been an exciting year for Dr. Codie and her family!
At the end of January, they welcomed their second baby boy into the world, officially becoming a family of four.
Since then, she’s been soaking up all those special moments that come with having a new baby and watching her family grow.
While she’s loved this time at home, she’s also looking forward to getting back into the office.
“I’m so excited to catch up with all of my patients and hear about what they’ve been up to! I’m also looking forward to seeing my coworkers and getting back to working alongside them every day again.“
Why Working with Kids Never Gets Old
Ask Dr. Codie what she loves most about working with kids, and her answer says a lot about the kind of care she provides.
For her, it’s about so much more than teeth.
“My goal is always to turn a potentially scary experience into a positive one and being able to do that is the best feeling.“
Helping children feel comfortable, confident, and proud of themselves after a dental appointment is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.
Of course, there’s another reason she loves working with kids. They’re hilarious!
“I also love how kids always keep me on my toes! They say the funniest and cutest things and I love how honest and unapologetically they are.“
And anyone who’s spent time around kids knows exactly what she means. You really never know what’s going to come out of their mouths next!
Eight Years, One Amazing Team!
Here’s a fun fact you might not know about Dr. Codie.
She’s been working alongside her dental assistant, Shelby, for nearly her entire career!
The two started working together when Dr. Codie was just three months into being a dentist, and they’ve now been a team for eight years.
“She knows what I need before I even know what I need myself haha. We make such a great team and I’m so grateful to have her by my side!“
Eight years of teamwork means they’ve developed a pretty special connection, and we’re excited to have this familiar duo working together again.
A Special Message from Dr. Codie
Before heading back, Dr. Codie wanted to share one more message with all the families and little patients she’s missed:
“I’ve missed you all so much and can’t wait to see your smiling faces again! Let’s get those sugar bugs!“
